Bangladesh exported 6,63 billion dollars in the first two months of the current fiscal year (July-August), 13,8 percent higher than the same period last year.
The Export Promotion Office pointed out that the textile sector led the increase with an income of 5,52 billion dollars in that period.
Along with remittances, the clothing sale is the driving force of the national economy.
Last fiscal year exports, which ended in June, increased by 1,7 percent to 34,7 billion dollars, although it was the slowest growth in 15 years.
The aim of the government is to reach a total of 37,5 billion dollars in this 12 months.
